Eagle Scout Keith James Harris
Keith James Harris received his Eagle Scout rating at an impressive Court of Honor July 13, 2013, and Pencader Heritage Museum considers him “ours”. He was one of 5 Scouts to become Eagles at the same time from Troop 603 of Newark, Delaware.

Keith, son of Keith and Stephanie Harris, entered scouting when he was thirteen. He graduated with honors from Pencader Charter High School in June 2013, and was a captain of the swim team. Traveling with his family, boating, and shooting sports are some of his favorite activities.

Keith will be attending Delaware Technical College to pursue an associate degree in Criminal Justice and plans to follow a career in law enforcement. In the meantime his growing lawn care business is in its second year.

In scouting Keith earned 23 merit badges and several special awards. He was a Patrol Leader, Chaplain’s Aide and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for the 2011-2012 scouting year.

His Eagle Scout project was working at Pencader Heritage Museum to repair and/or replace post & rail and chain link fencing, then to apply protective stain to the entire 200 feet of post & rail fence. Money left in his project account was donated to Pencader. Keith has volunteered to be available for any special events or projects to aid Pencader in the future. We wish him the best of everything in his life.
