Originally a horse/mule drawn facility on timber rails stretching twenty-one miles from New Castle, Delaware, to Frenchtown on the upper Chesapeake Bay. Some artifacts are on display at the PHAA Museum, and staff is available to discuss this 1831 phenomenon.
