Native American Indian Tool Making

Chief Quiet Thunder is a Native American Nanticoke Indian who makes authentic tools and toys and weapons. Native Americans were in the Pencader area, especially nearby Iron Hill, for several thousand years before European occupation of the area. Chief Quiet Thunder has been very generous to the PHAA Museum and quite an assortment of his authentic work is on display there. Chief Quiet Thunder is also available for lectures and demonstrations for an fee, as this is a component of his livelihood. (The PHAA Museum displays are free.) Also available from the Native American culture is Chief Little Drummer who performs the traditional ceremonial dances in full ceremonial costuming and teaches children the basic dances. He is an excellent entertainer and speaker about his culture.
