Discussion of the activities associated with life on the American frontier for the hardy individuals who chose to explore and settle the undeveloped frontier. These individuals had to be totally self contained and self reliant. Anything they needed, they had to be ready to make themselves. Mr. Jacobs will typically be in a home-made colonial era shirt

and tri-corner hat, and will display and demonstrate hand made objects including woodcarvings, kitchen utensils, a handmade muzzleloader, and a handmade mountain banjo and fiddle. Time required is about an hour or so. Presentation would typically be at the PHAA Museum but could be offsite at the sponsor’s location.
