We are creating an educational environment for students, teachers and interested residents to learn about the history and culture of the Pencader Hundred. Our Cooch Room features pictures and memorabilia of the Cooch family, Revolutionary War items, military, household and farm tools. The Dayett Room holds permanent displays as well as rotating material: A display on the WASPS, the women’s flying corp in WW 2; early lighting; buttons and coins found by metal-detecting locally and elsewhere, etc. In the Pencader Room are displays of Native American artifacts, a myriad of old maps and documents, early Pencader census and tax records and histories of local families. Our "please touch" area includes parts from a M-48 tank built by the Chrysler Corporation right here in Newark. Museum Photos
